No, this isn’t deja vu. A woman recently commenting on a LiveJournal “fanpost” has accused Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane of sexually assaulting her in a L.A. bathroom after the Hawks played the Los Angeles Kings, and the story is pretty dark.
According to the original comment (which has since been removed), the woman claims she met Kane and a few other of his “teammates/people” at a bar in L.A. after the game, and he was apparently very friendly. She was with a friend and everyone seemed to be having a good time. When the friend left the table, Kane allegedly tried to get the woman to go back to his room for some “adult activity,” to which the woman said no.
After some time, the woman went to the bathroom, where Kane supposedly followed her in, trying to get her to go home with him a second time. After several refusals, Kane allegedly sexually assaulted her, and then left the bar after a little small talk. No police report was filed.
By now, the entire hockey world knows that Kane was accused of rape in Buffalo, and the DA elected not to file charges simply because he didn’t have the evidence needed. It’s unclear what happened between Kane and the woman in Los Angeles as the statements can’t be verified at this time, though it’s worth noting that the Blackhawks were flying out of L.A. on the night the allegations took place.
