In hockey, no higher honor can be bestowed upon a player than to be compared to the late, great Gordie Howe.
And for Los Angeles Kings forward Jarome Iginla, he achieved the infamous Gordie Howe hat trick in the team’s 4-1 win over the Calgary Flames.
For a guy not known for his fighting, Iginla held his own against Flames heavyweight Deryk Engelland when they dropped the gloves.
His goal required a bit of luck, but the assist was a thing of beauty.
What a way for the 39-year-old NHL veteran to cap off a memorable night.
