A scary scene unraveled in St. Louis on Wednesday night when Nashville Predators rookie Kevin Fiala was hit into the boards by St. Louis Blues defenseman Robert Bortuzzo.

The Predators confirmed Fiala was in stable condition while he was via transit to a St. Louis area hospital.
Update: Fiala is going to a local hospital for further evaluation. He is alert and in stable condition. #STLvsNSH
