Standout performances can come from a variety of places in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and the Ottawa Senators got one from an unexpected source in Jean-Gabriel Pageau on Saturday.
With just one point in the entire playoffs thus far coming into Game 2 against the New York Rangers, Pageau added plenty to that total in this one.
Pageau. Three goals. Ties the game. #StanleyCup
The Rangers held a two-goal lead on three separate occasions in this barn-burner of a game, and the final two tallies from that Pageau highlight-reel were the last two goals of regulation to level things at 5-5.
But then the real theatrics transpired in double overtime.
Pageau tonight: ???? #StanleyCup

This was Pagaeu’s fourth of the day and sent Ottawa to a thrilling 6-5 double overtime victory.
Ah, playoff hockey.
