The Nashville Predators may have pulled starting goalie Pekka Rinne from the net in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals against the Pittsburgh Penguins, but most still anticipate the veteran will be in goal when Game 3 begins on Saturday night.
Still, Preds coach Peter Laviolette wasn’t willing to give up the goods on who would be tending the net, Rinne or backup Juuse Saros.
Though his coach doesn’t want to tip his hand yet, Rinne seems plenty confident that he can bounce back between the pipes back in Nashville.
Even the Penguins captain, Sidney Crosby, thinks puck luck has played a factor in Rinne’s struggles thus far.
So all signs point to Rinne getting the nod in Game 3, but whether or not he can have a rebound performance remains to be seen.
