Steven Bisig-US PRESSWIRE

According to ESPN, The Seattle Seahawks have traded linebacker Aaron Curry to the Oakland Raiders for a seventh-round draft pick in 2012 and a conditional pick in 2013—based on his playing time in Oakland.

Curry, the fourth overall pick out of Wake Forest in the 2009 NFL Draft has struggled and fallen out of favor with Seahawks head coach and executive vice-president Pete Carroll.

The 6’2 255-pund linebacker has 22 total tackles for the Seahawks and for his career has 156 total tackles and four forced fumbles. Curry has also played in 30 out of 35 career games in Seattle.

In Oakland, Curry would immediately upgrade their linebacker corps which currently has first-rounders at linebacker in Rolando McClain and Kamerion Wimbley.

This move is an absolute steal on the part of the Raiders as they already have a ferocious 4-3 defensive front that features Richard Seymour, Jarvis Moss, LaMarr Houston and Tommy Kelly.  Combine Curry with the likes of Wimbley, McClain and Quentin Groves, and it appears that the bully of the AFC West just got a lot scarier.
