The BCS might finally be on its last legs. The Arizona Republic is reporting that the leaders of the Pac-12 have agreed in principle to attempt to end the Bowl Championship Series and move to a playoff system. In this system, only conference champions can compete for the title.
The Pac-12 is expected to make a formal recommendation later in the year. Jim Delany, the commissioner of the Big 10, is also in support of a playoff system.
It’s still in its early stages but a college football playoff could be coming sooner rather than later. I know a lot of college football fans would rejoice.
