As if back-to-back losses wasn’t already painful enough to deal with, the Philadelphia Eagles received more bad news on Monday–quarterback Michael Vick will miss the next few games.
According to Howard Eskin of NBC 10 in Philadelphia, Vick is expected to miss 3-4 weeks–which means the Eagles will have to make a decision on whether to start Mike Kafka or Vince Young. Vick broke the hand of his non-throwing arm during Sunday’s loss to the New York Giants and many wondered if the team would still try and play him anyway–but apparently that’s not an option.
Vick has been knocked out in each of the last two games after suffering a concussion against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2 and this could mean trouble for the supposed “Dream Team.” Obviously, Vick is the team’s better option, but the fact that he’s a mobile quarterback helped with the Eagles’ poor offensive line–which Kafka or Young may struggle with.
