Wow! NFL players usually do not talk publicly about other teams quitting. It is kind of taboo. Frank Gore did not care. On ESPN’s First Take, Frank Gore took the Eagles defense to task saying, “I think playing that second half and the way we came out, the Eagles didn’t want to play no more.”

Gore went on to say,”We just kept pounding and kept pounding and making plays and we kind of knocked the fight out of them.” I am stunned that an NFL player would be so bold in his words. Gore did rush for 127 yards against the Eagles on a hobbled ankle.
I am sure the Eagles got word of Gore’s statements. If that is not fuel to motivate the Birds, I do not know what would light a fire under their butt. If they did indeed, “quit”, then they have no excuse. I can tell you that if the Eagles have a poor showing against the Buffalo Bills, the fans might quit. That is the truth.

As a sports fan, you hate to hear things like this. As an athlete you are taught from day one to overcome the odds, never give up and fight adversity. Sad to say we don’t see this being practiced in professional sports at times. Not only do these guys get to go out and play a game they love, but they get paid for it as well. That should serve as extra motivation. What a shame.
Couldn’t say it any better. Thanks for the feedback!
