The defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers are easily the best team in the National Football League in 2011. They’re 7-0 and have an unstoppable offense, led by the game’s hottest quarterback in Aaron Rodgers.
Yet NFL commentator Tony Dungy says that the Philadelphia Eagles could potentially challenge the Green Bay Packers in a postseason game.
Dungy says that the Eagles match up well against the Packers and could travel top Lambeau Field and come away with a victory in January.
However, for the Eagles to reach the playoffs, they need to continue winning. They’re 3-4 and have defeated the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys in consecutive games. But they still trail the New York Giants by two games in the division and will probably need a 10-6 record to qualify for the postseason.
Last season, the Eagles lost to the Packers 21-16 in a wild-card playoff game in Philly. Michael Vick was intercepted by Packers cornerback Tramon Williams in the end zone in the final minute

Maybe Tony should wait till the Eagles have a winning record before even talking about them challenging the Packers. Last year the Pack went to Philly, twice, and beat the Eagles both times. So for Tony to quip about the Eagles coming to Lambeau and beating them while they dont even have a winning record seems a bit silly. Prior to the past two wins, the Eagles were easily one of the biggest disappointments of 2011. So why not wait a few more weeks, Tony?
