The Eagles players are all the tin man from the Wizard of Oz searching for a heart, however, in this reality show, it is too late. I am saving a separate article for the coaches themselves. Watching the Eagles on Sunday afternoon was as hard as watching an ugly stripper…..tough on the eyes.
I have seen this team cave in at gut check time too many times. The way the Eagles played was as horrible as a get together at my ex-in-laws…..too many phonies trying to get themselves over.
This team’s personnel is questionable when it comes to the proverbial saying…,”when the going gets tough, the tough gets going.” The Eagles have transformed this saying into………..,”when the going gets tough, the so-called ‘tough’ ball up into a fetal position”.
On the game winning Cardinal drive, not one Eagle stepped up on defense. Not one……..maybe they were running late for their after parties. Maybe, they had a Barry Manilow concert to go to. Maybe, the Lion King was on T.V. that night. At least the Lion King has heart.
