According to multiple sources, the Philadelphia Phillies are shopping two-time All-Star center fielder in an attempt to make a major move this offseason.
The Cleveland Indians are believed to be one of the teams that has contacted the Phillies this offseason.
The 30-year old Hawaiian outfielder was considered to be an MVP candidate at the halfway point of the season but trailed off tremendously in the second half of the season, finishing with a batting average of just .279.
It’s unknown who the Phillies are going after this offseason but with star slugger Ryan Howard currently dealing with a torn Achilles tendon, you have to wonder if the team will attempt to acquire free agent first baseman Albert Pujols or Prince Fielder.

If it includes Ryan Howard, I’m with it. And it better be one hell of a deal to replace Shane. Shane’s numbers tailed off because the Fence was the only way to score runs when the offense did zip.
This team definitely needs speed so they’d better add some if they trade Vic and don’t sign Rollins.
I think they might trade Victorino for Asdrubal Cabrera and let Rollins walk. They would be getting much younger at that position. For center they might be banking on signing Yoenis Cespedes or maybe going after BJ Upton. Just a thought.
Personally, I would like to see the phils trade Victorino, Domonic Brown and possibly another prospect to Tampa for Evan Longoria. Bat Longoria at 4 and Howard at 5. Take the pressure off Howard at the 4 spot.
