Peter Taglianetti is an American-born player who hails from Framingham, MA. He was drafted in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2nd round (43rd overall). He retired as a player in 1996.
He made his debut with the Pittsburgh Penguins in December 1990 against the Chicago Blackhawks. He was part of the Penguins for both of the 1990-91 and 1991-92 Stanley Cup Championship teams.
Taglianetti is the father of twin boys, Andrew and Jon, who play / have played football for the University of Pittsburgh. He himself coached college hockey for Washington & Jefferson College.
He is currently working for P.J. Dick, Trumbull and Lindy Paving.
