Good lord Kentucky just gets all the good players don’t they. This one might not even be fair, and I can’t even really believe that I’m typing this.
Karl Towns Jr. recorded a quadruple double and also broke the rim on a play as well in a game on Jan. 6th. Towns also tweeted that the other rim could have gone too if circumstances had been different.
@xoindescribable I could’ve broke both rims if I didn’t foul out in the fourth quarter

Towns Jr. reclassified from the class of 2015 to 2014 in December and was the highest rated sophomore at the time. With the win over St. Peter’s Prep (Jersey City, N.J.) Towns showed why Kentucky Coach John Calipari is so interested. In the win, Towns recorded 16 points, 17 rebounds, blocked 11 shots, and supposedly 11 assists. Different box scores tell different stories, but Towns tweeted:
Had 16 points, 17 rebounds, 11 blocks and my dad said I had 10 or 11 assists. Also broke the rim on a dunk. Ripping for #BBN and #stjoes

Towns Sr. may have been working from his own box score, but various outlets have either confirmed or denied the quadruple double rumors. One thing is for sure; it was an impressive performance and you can see bits of it here, but not the rim breaking.
“It was one of the best performances I’ve ever seen,” said Towns’ father Karl Towns Sr..
Towns Jr. didn’t do much in his next game against Colonia (Colonia, N.J.); he just recorded a triple double, but that’s really not a big deal for him anymore is it? Scary.
