You have to absolutely love this time of year if you follow high school or college football at all.
With Nationally Signing Day just a short seven days away, we are going to see some crazy stuff from college football recruits. One recruit that has shown how crazy a road to signing day can be and that is top inside linebacker Reuben Foster.
It all started way back in 2012 when Foster was committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide. In July however Foster decommitted from the Tide and verbally committed to the Auburn Tigers in the same day. Fast forward five months to December when Foster decided to open his recruitment back up and decommit from the Tigers after the firing of coach Gene Chizik.
Now Foster wants to take a very obscure turn and take an official visit to the San Diego State Aztecs. Yes you read that right. For a guy who is being fought for by three of the most dominant SEC teams (Georgia Bulldogs are also in the race), it’s a really odd decision for Foster to take a visit out west at this point in the race.
In my honest opinion, fans of the Bulldogs, Tigers and Tide really should not be worried at all. This trip, if anything, is nothing more than probably an excuse to get away from it all and take a little vacation to sunny San Diego. Can you really blame him though? Foster is one of the most highly touted uncommitted recruits, and I can only imagine the pressure he is feeling from those three SEC teams.
I’m sticking with my guns though, and saying that the Tigers will be the team that Foster will end up choosing.
