In a high school football game between Danville High School and Laingsburg High School, Danville defensive end Clay Soule spent the entire night attempting to destroy the Laingsburg offense — well, until he noticed something that needed attention:

Soule realized that Laingsburg tight end Kevin Koenig was attempting to tie his shoe, but couldn’t because he was wearing gloves. Instead of sitting back and watching Koenig struggle, Soule took action, and showed the ultimate sign of sportsmanship by offering to tie his opponent’s shoe.

“He was trying to tie his shoe with his gloves on and he couldn’t do it,” Soule said (via lansingstatejournal.com). “I asked him if he wanted me to tie his shoe, and I just went over there and tied it for him.”

It’s so nice to see class on the football field after dealing with so many negative stories in recent weeks.
