The state of Texas is serious about its high school football. Unlike other places in the country, Friday nights feature some of the best talent in the country where entire towns show up to watch their schools battle on the gridiron.
For those of us in other parts of the country, it’s sometimes tough to grasp exactly how much of a difference there is between Texas high school football and everywhere else until you see something like this:

More from Bleacher Report:
On Saturday, voters in McKinney, Texas, approved a $220 million bond that will allocate $50.3 million toward the construction of a 12,000-seat high school football stadium for the local school district, according to USA Today. The project will cost $62.8 million in total, with the remaining $12.5 million funded by another bond that was approved in 2000.
The stadium will be the most expensive high school stadium in the country, but only by a small margin. Five miles north of McKinney ISD is Allen High School, which recently built a $60 million stadium.
