VIDEO: Dean Ambrose Confronts Mick Foley During Wrestlemania Weekend
This video has been causing a stir in the pro wrestling community since Monday. In this video, we see FCW star Dean Ambrose confront WWE legend Mick Foley during a signing at Wrestlemania weekend. Ambrose claims that Foley ruined wrestling for an entire generation by shoving it into the dangerous Attitude Era.
The question is this: Is this a shoot or a work? If it is a shoot, Mr. Ambrose’s WWE push just ended before it even began. I don’t think the higher ups take kindly to a FCW wrestler mouthing off to a legend. If it is a work, this is a BRILLIANT start to Ambrose’s career. It’s so good, I had to caps lock brilliant.
See, Foley did kind of ruin wrestling. Yes the business was popular, but could you call that wrestling? I would call it stunt work, just like Ric Flair calls it. Ambrose is a purely a wrestler. He has great mat skills and is one of the best technicians the WWE has under control. This could be the perfect start to his career. What better way to make a name for yourself by going after a legend?
Knowing WWE creative, they will screw this up somehow. Ambrose could become a mega heel by disowning the Attitude Era. Everyone seems to be stuck on it and pine for its return. Well, it is not coming back. Simple enough. Ambrose could be that voice that makes that clear. Plus, a program with Foley is one heck of a way to jump start your career.
