Lord Tensai Destroys Yoshi Tatsu; Feud With CM Punk Looms
The return of Matt Bloom (formally known as Albert and A-Train) as Lord Tensai has been a hit from the start. On Monday Night Raw, he destroyed Yoshi Tatsu after Tatsu challenged him to a match on Twitter. Even in the world of fake wrestling, the destruction was impressive.
Tensai has improved significantly since he left the WWE years ago. His grapple moves have added power and he looks a lot smoother in the ring. It is all about selling the bout as an actual match. As Albert, he was more of a joke. His true skills couldn’t shine. Right now, his skills are coming through loud and clear. He’s getting pushed as a massive heel who is terrorizing the roster.
Expect him to take on CM Punk in the near future. The WWE wants Tensai to be a heel for years to come and what better way to get over than go after the reigning champion. If you do not think that he is going after Punk, you need to watch the show closely. Tensai segments are surrounded by Punk stuff. It is the same thing they did with the Chris Jericho promos. You have to pay attention to figure it out.
The build of Tensai is well done. I would like to see him wrestle a non-squash match or tow, but I would not care if he goes right to punk. He dominated in Japan, so I think he’s still in good shape. Bring on Punk and the world will love it.
