Randy Orton Has Been Suspended 60 Days By The WWE
Randy Orton is one of the most over superstars in the WWE, but he will be taking a break for quite some time. The company announced that Orton has been suspended 60 days for his second violation of the company’s Wellness Policy. Orton had already been suspended once due to the policy.
This will make things interesting in the upper card on Smackdown. With Chris Jericho getting booted for his Brazil incident, this wraps up the Randy Orton – Jericho feud nicely. Neither is on TV so it can vanish. This may hurt The Miz or Dolph Ziggler, who could have benefited from a feud with a top face. This basically means that Sheamus is the only face on Smackdown so he will hold the title for a while.
I wonder how exactly this Randy Orton suspension will affect Smackdown. I would not be happy if they end up pushing a guy to the top before he is ready. There are not a lot of top faces in the company right now. Kofi Kingston is not ready to be that guy, which leaves Ryback and a whole host of other people to probably try to fill the void.
This should not hurt the hype that Randy Orton gets. He is consistently one of the most over performers in the company and he has a favorite of management. However, he only has one more strike left. If he fails the policy again, he will be terminated from the company.
