Will The Rock Be At WrestleMania 31?

WrestleMania 31 might not have The Rock in it as his Hollywood obligations may prevent him from appearing.

Rock is starring in “Fast and Furious 7” next year. The movie comes out on Apr. 3 in North America and lots of other countries during the same time. Rock usually needs to attend the premiere and do other work to help promote the movie. WrestleMania 31 happens on Mar. 29, so it might be too difficult of a schedule for Rock to juggle both.

Levi’s Stadium recently posted a poster of WrestleMania 31. In it, they advertised Rock, Brock Lesnar and Batista. It’s pretty funny it showed only part-time wrestlers, but these three are the biggest stars WWE has at the moment. This could have been an indication WWE wanted Rock to wrestle on the show after only appearing in a talking segment at WrestleMania XXX.

The original plan was for Rock to face Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX. Those plans fell through when Rock got injured. It’s unknown if Rock really wants to wrestle again, but he would only do it if he thinks it’s worth it. He wouldn’t wrestle at WrestleMania 31 to face someone like The Miz or Zack Ryder.

There is some belief Rock will have to miss out WrestleMania 31 altogether. “Fast and Furious 7” is a big movie and needs all the promotion it can get. Universal would like the movie to be successful after needing to delay filming due to Paul Walker’s unfortunate death.

I’m guessing Rock will sit WrestleMania 31 out. He might make an appearance, but a physical role seems out of the question.
