After all these years, the rumors were finally true. Sting made his long-awaited WWE debut Sunday night at Survivor Series. The man they call Sting appeared as part of the event’s finale, just when it looked like Team Authority was about to get a dirty win over Team Cena.
The Icon had an intense staredown with Triple H, and eventually hit him with the scorpion death drop. Stinger then put Dolph Ziggler over a downed Seth Rollins to give Team Cena the win, and cost The Authority its power.
It looks like the seeds for a possible WrestleMania match between HHH and Sting have been planted. Or, it’s possible that Sting is here to stay for the stretch run to WM 31. With WWE seemingly struggling to get network subscriptions, it would be a great time to feature the living legend to help boost viewership.
All in all, Sting’s debut made Survivor Series 2014 a big, much-needed win for WWE.
