After our favorite hypocritical company WWE decided against hiring the supremely talented and charismatic Quinn ”Moose” Ojinnaka, the big man was left without a country. He had already officially left Ring of Honor and thus had to weigh his options. While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, the most likely scenario is going to see Moose signing with TNA. Obviously it’s not any kind of perfect indicator, but TNA’s Twitter account did recently follow Moose.
WWE, which recently ended Jerry Lawler‘s suspension after the charges of domestic abuse against him were dropped, reportedly got cold feet with the former football player after learning about a domestic incident that happened when he was in the NFL 6 years ago. The league suspended him for one game even though he was only charged and never convicted. Jerry Lawler has been in trouble more than just this one time, and WWE is in love with Floyd Mayweather, and he has a long history of domestic violence, which he has actually done jail time for!
In any event, WWE is missing out on a great talent by passing on Moose. I’m sure he’ll eventually get signed, especially if he continues making a name for himself (and he will). Moose will be a huge asset to the Impact Wrestling roster and he will, like Mike Bennett before him, quickly become a big fish in a small pond.
It would be fantastic to see him show up at the next set of TV tapings that TNA is running this week. As much as Eli Drake is growing on me and as good as it would be for him to get a decent reign with the King Of The Mountain Championship, the right thing to do would be putting that belt on the big dude ASAP. Have him as a guest on whatever the name of E-LI-DRAKE’s show is and set up the match. Moose takes the belt the following week and everyone falls in love with him. And so on.
I just hope his theme song is half as good as it was in ROH.
