NEW ORLEANS - JANUARY 24: A fan in the stands holds up a Green Bay Packers #4 jersey as Brett Favre #4 of the Minnesota Vikings walks off the field after the Vikings lost to the New Orleans Saints 31-28 in overtime during the NFC Championship Game at the Louisiana Superdome on January 24, 2010 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Minnesota Vikings QB Brett Favre has scheduled a press conference for this afternoon where he is expected to tell the world that he will play in 2010 for the Vikings. As if we doubted that he wouldn’t. How many minutes after Favre’s announcement will it take until the first online column comes out asking if this will really be Favre’s last season.

You know it’s coming. I’ll make the first prediction, ESPN site, and 90 minutes or less after the conclusion of the presser. The commentators on ESPN will likely raise the question even before the presser starts. It might have already been raiser, I don’t know. I had to turn it off. I couldn’t take it anymore.

You know the question will be raised. It will be raised in every game he plays i this season. It will be asked a thousand times before the conclusion of the season. I for one, hope this is it, the last tour of duty for Favre. I have enjoyed watching him play, but let’s make this the last hurrah Brett.

The coverage of him arriving in Minnesota yesterday was over the top. If you were watching from a foreign country, you would have thought that the Pope was arriving somewhere. This fiasco is finally over with, now lets focus on the games instead of one player, there are 1,695 other players in the league.
