Video: Maurice Jones-Drew, Sidney Rice, and Brent Grimes Dance ‘The Shiva Bowl Shuffle’ on Season Premiere of ‘The League’
For those of you familiar with the famous dance performed by the Chicago Bears during the 1985 season called “The Super Bowl Shuffle”–you’re going to love this.
Season Three of the hit FX show “The League” premiered on Thursday night and started off with Ruxin–who won the fantasy football championship in Season Two–performing “The Shiva Bowl Shuffle” with Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew, Seahawks wide receiver Sidney Rice, and Falcons cornerback Brent Grimes. All three players were part of Ruxin’s fantasy team that helped him win the championship last season–so he had them get together to re-enact the dance that made the Bears famous in 1985 to kickoff this year’s fantasy football season with his friends.
For those of you unfamiliar, “The League” is a hilarious show about a group of friends in Chicago and their fantasy football league with “Shiva” being the championship trophy–which was named after one of the character’s ex-girlfriend. These three players join numerous other players such as Chad Ochocinco and Antonio Gates that have made appearances on the popular show over the last three seasons and it was entertaining to see them display their dancing skills.
