Report: Bengals Trade Carson Palmer to Raiders For Two First-Round Picks
It’s finally happening–Cincinnati Bengals owner Mike Brown is giving in and is ready to trade quarterback Carson Palmer.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Bengals are ready to send Palmer to the Oakland Raiders in exchange for two first-round picks. The Raiders are in desperate need of a quarterback after losing Jason Campbell–who suffered a broken collarbone against the Cleveland Browns in Week 6–for the season.
Palmer demanded a trade from the organization back in January, but Brown has refused to give in and made it clear over the last few months he had no intention of trading his franchise quarterback. With the team’s surprising 4-2 start and the unexpected emergence of Andy Dalton–it appears Brown finally realizes how beneficial this move is for both sides.
