Report: Texans QB Matt Schaub Out For Season
Just when it seemed like the Houston Texans were finally on the verge of clinching their first division title in franchise history–they receive the worst possible news about quarterback Matt Schaub.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Schaub will miss the remainder of the season with a Lisfranc injury in his foot. Schaub suffered the injury during Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Houston will go with Matt Leinart from here on out.
For a team that already lost their best defensive player for the season in Mario Williams, this is terrible news for the Texans as they’ve been considered one of the teams to beat in the AFC. Leinart’s shown potential (not much) at times throughout his career, but it’s a no brainer when it comes to which quarterback the team would prefer to have in the starting lineup.
