With Week 13 right around the corner, it’s safe to say Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is the leading candidate for the 2011 MVP award considering the former first-round pick is playing on a completely different level from the rest of the league. So with the three weeks left in the voting for the 2012 Pro Bowl, it should be no surprised that Rodgers sits on top of the list for most votes.
Courtesy of NFL.com, Rodgers leads the way for all players with 961,818 votes and leads New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady–who sits in second at this point–by 88,394 votes. Along with Rodgers and Brady, the top five leaders in Pro Bowl votes include Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson (743,335 votes), New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker (684,591 votes), and Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson (680,428 votes).
Obviously, this should come as no surprise considering the type of numbers Rodgers has displayed over the first 11 games. 127.7 quarterback rating. 3,475 passing yards. 35 touchdowns. Four interceptions.
Even Brady admitted the type of season Rodgers is having is unheard of–so why wouldn’t he be No. 1 at this point?
