Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte has been in a bit of a funk over the last couple of weeks and a matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs seemed to the perfect way for him to get things going again. Unfortunately, that was far from the case and there’s a chance the Bears could lose their running back for a significant amount of time.
Forte left Sunday’s game against the Chiefs with a knee injury, but the significance of the injury is still unknown. Forte was able to walk off the field under his own power, but he was ruled out for the remainder of the game–which is never a good sign.
Obviously, this would be devastating news for Chicago if Forte suffered a serious injury considering they’re already playing without Jay Cutler at quarterback. Forte rushed for 12 yards before leaving the game and Mario Barber will receive a majority of the carries for the remainder of the game.
