St. Louis Rams Fire Steve Spagnuolo
With the NFL regular season officially over, it’s that time of year where teams will make numerous changes as they look to make adjustments for 2012. After a disappointing season in which the team won just two games, the St. Louis Rams decided to kick off their offseason by firing head coach Steve Spagnuolo.
According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, the Rams parted ways with their head coach on Monday after three seasons. There were high expectations for St. Louis this year after a surprise 7-9 finish in 2010, but this season has been nothing but a disappointment as the team finished 2-14 and ended the season on a seven-game losing streak.
Of course, the question everybody is dying to know is whether or not Spagnuolo will re-unite with the Philadelphia Eagles as the team’s new defensive coordinator. The two sides were linked a couple of weeks ago considering how much Juan Castillo struggled with his job most of the season–so it should be interesting to see if anything happens over the next few weeks.
