Check Out These Ridiculous Super Bowl XLVI Prop Bets Involving Kelly Clarkson’s National Anthem

Remember last year when Christina Aguilera embarrassed herself during Super Bowl XLV by forgetting the lyrics to “The Star-Spangled Banner?” Well, thanks to last year’s incident, there appears to be a popular prop bet for Kelly Clarkson singing the National Anthem this year in Super Bowl XLVI and whether or not the former American Idol winner will mess up like Aguilera.

According to Chris Chase of Yahoo! Sports, football fans can actually win money by placing bets on whether or not Clarkson will forget a word while singing the National Anthem on February 5 in Indianapolis. The odds right now for “Yes” that Clarkson will mess up the lyrics are set at +250–which means if fans were to place a $100 bet and Clarkson did miss a lyric, they would win $250.

Obviously, this takes gambling to an extreme if you’re willing to place bets on something like the National Anthem instead of the actual game–but it’s still entertaining to read about. What’s even more interesting is some of the other prop bets fans can place money–including whether or not Clarkson will keep the song under or over one minute and 34 seconds. Not to mention fans can also place bets on what type of attire Clarkson will be wearing and whether or not her bare belly will be exposed during the performance.

On a different note more related to football–the Patriots are stil slightly favored to beat the Giants during the actual Super Bowl.
