Deion Sander’s Wife Sues the NFL Hall of Famer for $200 Million
Since NFL Hall of Fame receiver, Deion Sanders, filed for divorce from his wife of nearly 13 years in December, things have gone from bad to downright ugly–and they appear to be getting even worse.
In the two months since, Pilar Sanders has thrown out some ugly accusations, causing a volatile war of words.
Ms. Sanders, has since refered to her soon-to-be-ex-husband as a “cheating, narcissistic bully” who is “at the bottom of the depths of humanity” and deserves to be punished in order to “protect everyone on the planet.” She has accused him of “only giving her money for sexual favors.”
Through his lawyer, Deion responded to these accusations as being nothing more than “extortion.”
Sanders, who spent most of his career with the Atlanta Falcons and Dallas Cowboys, referred to Pilar’s accusations as “lies and foolishness” via Twitter. His daughter from a previous marriage, Deiondra, had some even more colorful comments for her step-mother on Twitter, calling her the “number one gold digger of the year,” a “gold diggin ‘ho,” and accusing Pilar herself of being the adulterous one.
Recent court documents detail two lawsuits that Pilar has now filed against the former star receiver seeking $200 million in damages for the ”emotional and physical abuse, mental distress, public humiliation, and financial loss” at the hands of Deion.
In one suit, she is suing Sanders for an assult which allegedly occured in February, claiming that he and a woman friend of his orchestrated a violent attack on her in order to force her out of their Prosper, TX home.
In the other, though Deion did apologize publicly for his daughter’s Twitter rant directed at her step-mother, Pilar Sanders is seeking damages from both him and his daughter for their “libelous comments” made online.
Sanders lawyer has claimed that he seeks to quietly settle the matter in court and publicly clear the air once it is all over.
