Packers LB A.J. Hawk Cuts His Locks For Kids Fighting Cancer
Green Bay Packers linebacker A.J. Hawk has some of the most recognizable hair in all the NFL. His long-flowing locks hang out the backside of his helmet and fly around in the wind as he flies around the field.
For the meantime at least, the locks are gone.
Hawk has cut his locks and donated them to a foundation he runs for children who are fighting cancer called “Hawk’s Locks for Kids.”
The foundation has donated Hawk’s hair to a wig company called Wigs for Kids, that specializes in creating wigs for kids who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy.
It’s possible to donate to Hawk’s Locks for Kids, and the address can be found through Hawk’s official Twitter account, @OfficialAJHawk.
Kudos to A.J. Hawk and his group for what they do to add some normalcy to the lives of childrens’ cancer patients who have a fight which most of us could hardly imagine.
