St. Louis Rams Sign Prized CB Cortland Finnegan To 5-Year, $50 Million Deal
Jeff Fisher wasted no time bringing one of his former players to St. Louis. The team has agreed in principle to a five year, $50 million deal with Cortland Finnegan.
Thought to be one of, if not the best corner back free agent, many teams sought after the sometimes volatile corner.
Despite his on-the field issues (the fight with Andre Johnson, many believing he’s a dirty player), Finnegan is still one of the best in the NFL at his position, and instantly upgrades a Rams defense that never got where it wanted to be under Steve Spagnuolo.
Finnegan made the Pro Bowl in 2008, has 14 career interceptions and forces us to hear Chris Berman’s awful “It’s the luck of the Irish” saying when he makes a play.
In all seriousness, the Rams just got themselves one of the top defensive players in the league.
