WR Pierre Garcon Signing With The Washington Redskins
In a move that is more then likely another ploy to draw Peyton Manning to Washignton, The Redskins have signed Peyton’s former teammate, Wide Reciever Pierre Garcon.
Garcon took to facebook to announce the move.
“I wanted you all to hear it from me 1st before u saw it on the news… I will be signing with the Washington Redskins and I’m very excited about the opportunity in front of me. I want to thank all Colts fans from the bottom of my heart for all the love and support you’ve shown me the past 4 years and I hope that at some level u will still follow my career, as I will continue to share my life with you on here…”
Garcon is deep threat that the Redskins haven’t had in a while and he is getting playmaker money.
According to numerous sources the deal is worth $42.5 million over five years with $21.5 million guaranteed. That is some big time money.
His best season came last year when he had catching 70 balls for 947 yards and six touchdowns. This all happened without Manning, imagine what would have happened with him.
Best of luck to Garcon and I’m sure he is already on the phone with Peyton telling him how great Washington is.
