Rumor: Peyton Manning Agrees To Terms With Denver Broncos
Brian Spurlock-US PRESSWIRE

Ever since Peyton Manning was released by the Indianapolis Colts he has been the biggest free-agent on the NFL market and there have been many teams pursuing him. A few of the noteworthy teams that have pursued Manning are the Miami Dolphins, Washington Redskins, Denver Broncos, Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, and Tennessee Titans. But ever since NFL free-agency has begun, and even before NFL free-agency began, there have been a few teams who have been eliminated from the Peyton Manning sweepstakes.

The Washington Redskins traded up in the draft with the St. Louis Rams and, presumably, are targeting the Heisman Trophy winning QB Robert Griffin III from Baylor. The Miami Dolphins traded Brandon Marshall to the Chicago Bears and it doesn’t seem that there chances are good at wooing Manning to come play in Miami. The Seahawks were not even that big of players in this whole ordeal as Seahawks officials were not even able to reach Manning’s camp to set up a meeting.

That would leave only three teams, the Cardinals, who had a meeting with Manning earlier this week, the Titans, who also had a meeting withe Manning this week, and the Broncos, who had the first meeting with Manning. Well, according to a source, the meeting with the Broncos went so well that Manning now has an agreement in principle with the Broncos. Manning meeting with the Tennessee Titans this week was simply “due diligence” and nothing more.

This is certainly a huge deal for the Broncos, (if it turns out to be true), and it would seem that with the addition of Manning they would now be actively shopping QB Tim Tebow.
