Cincinnati Bengals’ Cheerleader Sarah Jones Fired From Teaching Job; Had Sex with Student
A Cincinnati Bengals’ cheerleader is facing up to five years in prison for allegedly having sex with a student. Sarah Jones – who has been a “Ben-Gals” cheerleader for five years – received an indictment for first-degree sexual assault and unlawful use of electronic means to seduce a minor, which is also known as sending naked photos of yourself to a minor.
Sarah’s mother, Cheryl Jones, who is – or should I say was – a principal at a different school in the Cincinnati area was also indicted in the case. Cheryl was charged with tampering of evidence, which could cost her five years in prison as well.
The ladies released this statement through their attorney:
“Sarah has maintained her innocence. The indictment of her mother is completely baseless.”
If you are wondering if you heard the name Sarah Jones before, you just might have. She was in a battle with the website TheDirty.com (no idea what that is, so I wouldn’t search it) because they said she had a sexually transmitted disease.
I guess we will have to wait until more news comes out, but if this student is like a 17-year old or something then he’s a god among men. As I paraphrase a quote from the movie Grandma’s Boy, “Having sex with a teacher is one thing, but having sex with a NFL cheerleader who is your teacher is like… legendary”.
I’m sure more details will emerge from the case, but to me, this is one thing our court system overreacts to. If the kid was like 13 or something – then sure – sexual abuse it up. But if he is around 16 or 17, and he wasn’t held hostage, then give me a break. 99 out of 100 teenage boys would switch places with this chap in a minute.
Lastly, this takes the “Keeping up with the Joneses” phrase to a whole new level.
