Jets QB Tim Tebow Gets Booed at Yankees Game
No matter what he says or do, New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow always seems to find a way to become the center of attention. The latest incident from all of the hype surrounding Tebow-mania–getting booed at the New York Yankees game.
According to the Associated Press, Tebow was in attendance for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Angels and while some fans showed their appreciation for the former Denver Bronco–most of the reactions from the fans consisted of boos.
From the Associated Press:
The new backup quarterback for the Jets was booed at Yankee Stadium on Sunday night when he was shown on the giant video board – even though he was wearing a Yankees cap.
Sitting in the third row next to the Los Angeles Angels dugout, Tebow cracked a smile and acknowledged the camera. There was a smattering of cheers, but most of the initial reactions were boos.
As bad as it sounds, this really shouldn’t come as a surprise considering Tebow has just as many haters as he does fans. Even when he tries to fit in with the fans in his new city by wearing a Yankees hat, Tebow still can’t seem to catch a break.
On another note–Mark Sanchez must be feeling pretty good to hear most of the fans at Sunday’s game have his back when it comes to who they want as the starting quarterback for the Jets.
