Larry Fitzgerald Wants Arizona Cardinals to Draft Michael Floyd
As long as Larry Fitzgerald is healthy and in the lineup, it’s safe to say the Arizona Cardinals will always have the potential to contain one of the most dangerous passing games in the NFL. Of course, that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement and with the 2012 NFL Draft set to take place in just a few days, Fitzgerald already has one player in mind he would love the team to draft at No. 13 if available–Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd.
According to a report from NFL.com, Fitzgerald recently told Sports Illustrated how he would love the team to use their first-round pick on Floyd if available, but of course the main factor in this scenario is whether or not the Notre Dame standout is even available. While Floyd will most likely be picked in the first round considering how many teams need help in the wide receiver department, it’s difficult to determine exactly where Floyd will land in first round.
With receivers like Early Doucet and Andre Roberts, there’s no question the Cardinals could use extra help for another big-name receiver to play alongside Fitzgerald and Floyd would make a great No. 2 wideout. Of course, the other question that will be in the back of everyone’s mind will be which quarterback would throw to Floyd during the 2012 season if he happens to land in Arizona–Kevin Kolb or John Skelton.
