Former NFL Star Junior Seau Found Dead, Cops Suspect Suicide
The NFL is being rocked by the story today that former NFL star Junior Seau was found dead in his home in Oceanside, California.
TMZ first broke the news earlier this morning/afternoon and have sited a source close to law enforcement that believes Seau took his own life.
Sources are confirming that Seau died of a self-inflicted gun shot wound to the chest. A 911 call was made at approximately 10 am PST, no news on who that person was. This situation is very similar to Dave Duerson, who shot himself in the chest and left a note indicating his desires that his brain be donated for research into the NFL concussion problem.

Cops are currently at Seau’s home — located in San Diego County — and were seen talking with a man who was inside the house and appeared distraught.
We’re told Seau sent text messages to his ex-wife and 3 kids yesterday saying, “Love you.” We’re told they all responded and didn’t suspect anything was wrong. We’re told he last saw his kids 3 weeks ago.
Sources close to Seau tell us family members didn’t notice any signs of depression in recent weeks.
Seau played 20 seasons in the NFL with the San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins, and New England Patriots. He leaves behind three kids and a wife.
One has reason to suspect concussions could have played a role in Seau’s suicide. Seau had a reputation for being a big hitting linebacker, making the Pro Bowl 12 times in his 20 year career.
This is an incredibly sad day for the NFL. They have lost one of the greatest linebackers to play the game way too early.
