Tim Tebow of the New York Jets is always going to grab the headlines. In the upcoming version of Madden, his celebration, known as “Tebowing”, will make an appearance. The makers of Madden 13 have released an image of Tebow celebrating and it looks pretty realistic.
There are a lot of reasons to dislike Tim Tebow. He is a media darling, which means no one ever shuts up about him. He is a below average quarterback who somehow defies logic and wins football game. He is against the grain, which makes him a lightning rod. I have no personal issue with Tebow, but I do have issues with how he is covered.
Tim Tebow having his celebration in Madden is not that big of a deal, but people will over hype it. It is cool to see Madden focusing on celebrations but I think some people went too far with it. Tim Tebow is a start and so is Tebowing. There were a couple weeks where everyone was Tebowing. However, I think it has lost its luster by now.
This photo will probably end up as the background on a lot of people’s computers. People just love Tim Tebow that much. They think he represents so much more than he actually he does. The Christian community has latched on to him, which has made him an even bigger star.
That being said, I love anytime that we can get leaks from Madden. If it happens to be a picture of Tim Tebow “Tebowing”, I guess I have to accept it.
