Aaron Rodgers Hopes to Remain With Green Bay Packers For Life
Good news Green Bay Packers fans–Aaron Rodgers hopes to never leave the organization and play for different teams like Brett Favre did at the end of his career.
The Pro Bowl quarterback recently discussed in an interview how he wants to be a member of the Packers for the rest of his career and couldn’t picture himself playing anywhere else. Considering what the organization went through during the final years of Favre’s career in which he spent one season with the New York Jets and two more with the Minnesota Vikings, this has to be a sign of relief for the Packers and their fans.
In just three years as a starter, Rodgers has quickly emerged into one of the best players in the NFL and is coming off one of the best regular season’s ever displayed by a quarterback after throwing for 4,643 yards to go along with 45 touchdowns and just six interceptions. Even if the team was eliminated earlier from the playoffs than expected, it’s hard to ignore the type of season Green Bay displayed with Rodgers under center after he led the Packers to a 15-1 record.
At this rate, there’s a good chance Green Bay has another future Hall of Fame quarterback on their hands in Rodgers. Let’s just hope his career at Lambeau ends differently then Favre’s did–as in he doesn’t mislead the organization time after time about whether or not he’s going to retire.
