Miami Dolphins Wideout Chad Johnson Arrested On Domestic Assault Charges After Headbutting Wife
Chad Johnson wants to prove all the doubters wrong this coming season but he might have landed himself in a bit of trouble. There are rumors that the Miami Dolphins wideout was arrested Saturday night on domestic assault charges and those rumors are true. Not exactly a good way to stay on a roster in this day and age.
The story goes as this. Apparently Johnson headbutted his new wife Evelyn during a dispute. The cops were called, they saw Evelyn with cuts, and promptly arrested Chad Johnson.
This was probably the last shot that Chad Johnson was going to get in the league and this might end it if it turns out to be true. This is something that will not be taken lightly and if it is true, Johnson will be suspended by the league. In fact, the Dolphins might end up cutting him just so they do not have to deal with him.
This could also be a big blow to Hard Knocks. It is a stupid thing to focus on but this could have a major factor on that show. Johnson was expected to be a big part of the show and now he is not available for it anymore. Not exactly a good situation for anyone who happens to be involved.
If this does turn out to be factual, Johnson is going to have a lot of explaining to do. The Dolphins took a chance on him and he went out and did something like this. It is a horrible thing and not exactly a good way to endear yourself to the fans and to your team.
We will keep you updated on this situation as more information becomes available. This certainly does not sound good but facts are still coming out. Johnson might be in the clear but all signs seem to point in the other direction. It would be a shame if his great career ended on a note like this.
