Well, all the speculation is official. Every school from the Big 12 has given their consent and the Texas A&M Aggies are now officially part of the SEC. Per the SEC Digital Network:
So now the question is, who will be the 14th member? There have been talks Missouri has informally agreed to be the 14th team and they are pushing pretty hard to join. They created www.mizzou2sec.com the day Texas A&M was accepted with their stipulations. Missouri would be a great fit for the SEC, bringing in the St. Louis and Kansas City markets, while having a great academic and strong athletic program. Should the SEC add Missouri as their 14th team, Auburn would move to the SEC East. Meanwhile, Texas A&M plays future SEC foe Arkansas this week at JerryWorld in Arlington, TX. Kind of ironic they get everything settled the week they play a current SEC team. More on this as this story progresses.
