SEC Week 10: Game of the Century and the Toilet Bowl

This week is the week that everybody has been waiting for all season. It’s Ole Miss vs. Kentucky week! Two of the worst teams in the SEC will duke it out for SEC inferiority. In all seriousness, it is LSU vs. Alabama week. Number one versus number two. The should be national championship. We will find out this week who the best team in the SEC is which is the de facto best team in the country.

Vanderbilt Commodores vs. Florida Gators

New Mexico State Aggies vs. #18 Georgia Bulldogs
Georgia’s on a roll. They finally beat Florida and they’re playing some pretty good defense. Oh yeah, and today, they play New Mexico State. Easy win for the Dawgs, 49-7.

Ole Miss Rebels vs. Kentucky Wildcats
The Toilet Bowl. These two teams are the two worst in the SEC and it’s not even close. Kentucky was supposed to have a strong defense, but putrid offense. They’ve just been putrid. Ole Miss hasn’t really done anything well since losing to BYU by one point in the opening week. Game’s played in Lexington, but Houston Nutt may have finally found a QB in Randall Mackey. Rebels win because of Mackey’s play, 14-10.

Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders vs. Tennessee Volunteers
So behind curtain number three is the Volunteers third string quarterback-turned-starter Justin Worley. He hasn’t played well either. Middle Tennessee used to be a bowl team, but not this year. Good year to play them Vols. UT over MT 28-14.

#9 South Carolina Gamecocks vs #7 Arkansas Razorbacks
It’s Connor Shaw’s team and he’s run with it, leading the Gamecocks into the top ten. This game should be a dandy. Tyler Wilson has masterfully guided Arkansas throughout this season.. I would be watching this game for the first hour, then switching back and forth between the game of the century. This game will be high scoring with special teams being the difference Hogs punt returner Joe Adams is one of the best in the country. I like the ‘Backs over the ‘Cocks, 42-38.

Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs
This is another mismatch of teams. The Bulldogs have been a disappointment this season. But what the hell is a “Skyhawk”? Bulldogs big 45-14.

#1 LSU Tigers vs. #2 Alabama Crimson Tide
Here’s the Game of the Century. These two teams have proved they are the two best in the nation throughout the season so far. Whoever wins this game should be handed the national championship trophy, because they are undoubtedly the best team in the country. They’re almost mirror images of each other. Both teams have NFL defenses. There is a difference. LSU’s defense takes a lot of chances. Alabama’s plays solid defense, not allowing a yard more than needed. The Tigers aggressiveness will be the downfall for them this game. And Trent Richardson is one of the best running backs I’ve seen in a while. Number two has beaten number one five out of the last six times. make it six out of seven. Crimson Tide 14, Tigers 6.
