Why Arkansas WR Joe Adams NFL Draft Stock Will Rise After The Senior Bowl
Chuck Cook -US PRESSWIRE

MOBILE, AL – They say that the NFL is a quarterback-driven passing league, in the case of Arkansas Razorbacks wide receiver Joe Adams, he will have no problems finding employment.

Adams, a 5’11, 174-pound senior would be voted the Most Outstanding Player for the South during the North’s 23-13 victory in the 2012 Senior Bowl.

Adams would have eight catches for 133 yards including receptions of 36 and 29 yard receptions in the third quarter.

With smaller and quicker wide receivers such as Wes Welker, Santonio Holmes, Stevie Johnson, Johnnie Knox and Percy Harvin en vogue in the NFL, Adams with his shiftiness and quickness could project as a slot receiver at the next level.

Currently projected as the #18th best wide receiver prospect by NFL mock draft website, Walters Football, Adams could be a real late-round steal for teams looking for wide receiver help or depth.

During the 2010-11 season, Adams would catch 50 passes for 813 yards and six touchdowns, during his senior year in Fayetteville, Adam’s production would drop as he would catch 54 passes for 652 yards and three touchdowns.

For his career, Adams has 164 receptions for 2,410 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Adam’s ability to matchup with nickel cornerbacks could serve him well in the NFL, as a complementary or #3 receiver—depending on the team’s system.

After Adam’s breakout performance in the Senior Bowl, look for Adams’ name to be on the lips of prospective coaches and general managers going into the NFL Scouting Combine as a player to watch.
