Welsh international winger Gareth Bale has had an absolutely sensational season with his Tottenham Hotspurs. Scoring 26 goals for his club this season, his form has carried him to new heights — he won three awards and has become known as a true game-changer. A good example of that is the goal he scored towards the final minutes to earn Tottenham all three points against Sunderland in the season finale.
Almost every goal he scored this season brought his Spurs much-needed points. However, even though his game-winning goal against Sunderland earned the win, Champions League soccer is out of the question as Arsenal finished a point and a place above them in fourth, therefore guaranteeing a qualifying stage in the UCL. The Spurs have to settle for Europa League soccer.
For Bale, that is going to be a problem.
The Welshman recently demanded €200,000 a week in wages after his club failed to qualify for the Champions League. He has the ability to play among the best and the Europa League, in his mind, is not enough. His team mates are good, but he could play for a team that has players who are great.
With that said, if the London based club do not agree to his high salary, he will be on his way out of White Hart Lane.
Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan and some other clubs are all interested in him, and could certainly use his talents. Will he go, or will he stay? We will be learning the answer to that question within the next month.
