Superstar ace winger Gareth Bale has been gathering the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs with his heroics this past season. Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Manchester City and even Manchester United were all thought to have expressed interest in the youngster, and for very good reasons.
Firstly, Bale is exceptionally quick and strong on the ball. When he wants to take on an opponent, he does just that with a certain flare that not too many in today’s game can make happen instantly. His ability to shoot from virtually anywhere in the final third makes him a very dangerous opponent for any team who has the difficult task of facing him. His timely runs, vision and overall soccer intelligence make him a nearly complete player.
For Tottenham, he has been nothing short of amazing; he had a career-best 26 goals for his club this past season. Some of the goals he scored were last-minute strikes that brought all three points in victories to make his manager Andre Villas-Boas extremely proud.
Speaking of his manager, Bale spoke highly of him when he claimed that he brings out the very best in him. With that being said, he may not be willing to leave the club, especially after being considered their very best player. He is carrying them to new heights, even if they will not play Champions League soccer.
Before he praised his coach, he was rumored to have said that he will leave Tottenham if they will not play UCL soccer next season. Because of that, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid were and still are ready to pounce for his signature.
Manchester City has a bunch of stars, but they are lacking a player that can change games when absolutely necessary. Bale could immediately enter the starting line-up down the middle or on either one of the wings and impact the style and success of the former EPL champions.
Manchester United already have a bunch of stars that won them yet another Premier League, but the addition of Bale could give them that x-factor that will certainly push them to newer heights — possibly winning the FA Cup, League Cup and of course, a more successful Champions League run.
A few years back, Bale scored a hat-trick in Milan against Inter in a 4-3 loss. Ever since that game, the Italian giants fell in love with the Welshman and have kept a curious eye on him intently. After a dismal season in Serie A, a player like Bale can bring them right back to their successful days when they were a threat domestically and among Europe’s best, as well.
Real Madrid already has Cristiano Ronaldo, but may be losing him to a buyer this summer. However, if he does stay, Bale joining forces with him can immediately boost the capital side’s chances of dethroning Barcelona atop La Liga. By bringing in the winger, Madrid can compete with Barca’s signing of Neymar, who is joining forces with the world’s best, Lionel Messi.
He is a player that is in high demand, so for the Spurs to keep him at White Hart Lane, they have to offer him at least 200,000 Euros a week in order to keep their superstar happy and performing at the highest level.
Wherever he ends up, he will continue to grow as a player, since he is still only 23 years of age.
