Julian Draxler is considered one of the most promising young players in Europe and he has been linked with several European giants the last two years and today it was the first time the German talked about his future with the press.
The German international, who has impressed in both Bundesliga and the Champions League during the last two seasons with Schalke 04, was recently asked about a possible move from his current club as he’s been the subject of several rumors in the last months and the playmaker, unlike what he does in the pitch, didn’t elude the question.

“Of course I would like to play for a bigger team as I know that’s the only way I would get worldwide recognition, but I’m not eager to leave Schalke yet” said Draxler.
He has been linked with a move to Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United, among others, as his skill set allows him to play in any attacking role either in the center of from the left flank. The Red Devils are rumored to be the frontrunners to land him due to the “open space” they could have for him in midfield.
Ashley Young, Nani and Shinji Kagawa have all failed to impress manager David Moyes this season and that’s the reason why they are looking at alternatives already as they need to improve the team as soon as possible. Conscious of the depth in Barcelona and Real Madrid and also knowing he would have to fight for a spot in The Blues, the probable move to Old Trafford seems like the perfect destination for Draxler.
It remains to be seen how this one will play out but it seems like one thing is certain: Julian Draxler won’t be creating magic in the Bundesliga much longer as bigger challenges are waiting for him and he knows it.
