With the summer transfer window now officially closed for all of the major European leagues, it is now time to see just how good or bad the business has been for all of the different clubs. Many eyes will be on the English Premier League in particular and the raft of players who have joined new clubs in England. Naturally, some will be less successful than others, but here are 10 players who will love their new homes in the EPL.

Joleon Lescott joined West Bromwich Albion in the summer on a free transfer, and in the process reunited with new West Brom manager Alan Irvine. Lescott knew Irvine from when they were both at Everton, and that was a contributing factor as to why Lescott decided to join West Brom over other interested clubs. That, along with the chance to play regularly at the age of 32, will make West Brom a great place for Lescott to be.

Lukasz Fabianski spent seven years at Arsenal before leaving to join Swansea City this summer. During that time, Fabianski never really managed to assert himself as Arsenal's No. 1 goalkeeper, but he will be hoping to finally do just that at his new club instead. Fabianski has started all three Premier League games for Swansea so far this season, and it seems the move to Wales will yield the first-team action that he craves.

Wilfried Zaha was one of the most talked-about young players in England while he was running riot for Crystal Palace a few years back. He earned a move to Manchester United, but his career stalled there. A loan move to Cardiff City last year didn't help much either, but now Zaha is back at Palace in a move designed to reignite the career of the talented winger.

Cheikhou Kouyate is a player who a lot of clubs around the world were looking at potentially buying, but nobody ever quite pulled the trigger -- until West Ham United this summer, that is. Kouyate has finally got his chance to show everybody what he can do on a big stage, and with the high tempo and physicality of the Premier League, it's a division that should suit his style of play perfectly.

Eric Dier is a rare English player who has extensive experience of playing in a foreign country. Dier learned his trade in the academy of Sporting Lisbon and managed to eventually progress all the way to the first team. Tottenham Hotspur purchased Dier this summer for £4m from Sporting in a move which takes Dier back home to England, gives him a great opportunity at Spurs, and puts him directly into the eyesight of England manager Roy Hodgson.

Jack Rodwell has had a horrendous injury record for most of his career, but particularly so at Manchester City in the last few years. Sunderland have now given the midfielder a chance to play week in, week out and see if he can finally shake off the injuries that have hampering him. If he can, Rodwell could be a star for a team like Sunderland, and it will have been a perfect move for him.

Calum Chambers has gone from being Southampton's backup right-back to being Arsenal starting center-back in a matter of months. Whether Chambers can keep the position throughout the season is yet to be seen, but the move still provides an amazing opportunity for him to learn and develop at such a young age under a fantastic manager in Arsene Wenger, and with some excellent players around him.

3. Remy Cabella

Newcastle United fans have always had a penchant for a flamboyant, skillful attacker. They idolized the likes of Paul Gascoigne, David Ginola and Chris Waddle in the past, and in Remy Cabella, they have a player who they may take to once again. Cabella is a flamboyant character with quick feet and skills to match, and if the Frenchman can perform consistently, then he'll be a big fan favorite at St. James' Park.

Mario Balotelli has been through a lot of ups and downs throughout his career already, and he is rightly seen as a gamble signing for Liverpool. But maybe he just needs the overwhelming support of a club? Perhaps he needs to feel like a hero? The Liverpool fans will certainly give him that in the early days, and if Balotelli reacts positively, then Anfield may finally be the home that Balotelli has been looking for all this time.

Cesc Fabregas has a point to prove. The Spaniard was taken back to Barcelona as the returning son in 2011, ready to replace Xavi Hernandez when the time came. Well, that time is here now, and yet Fabregas has been sold to Chelsea. Fabregas never really seemed to settle or connect with the Barcelona fans no matter how well he played, and the midfielder will be looking to show not just Barcelona, but the world just how good he really is.
